Oranges have their seasons, sometimes it’s not their time, then how does “100 percent pure” orange juice can taste delicious during the entire year, and not only during orange season? The answer is because processed orange juice which you are drinking may not be pure orange.
The special flavor inside it is from the "secret ingredient" which orange juice companies do not have to put it on the label.

In your glass of orange juice there is a secret which has been recently been discovered. Even though your carton may say "not from concentrate," the juice the juice has probably sat for a year in a huge vat so all the oxygen can be removed from it. With this method juice can be preserved and distributed during the course of an entire year. Taking out the oxygen removes the flavor with it so juice makers have to put back the flavor using flavor packs which have many chemicals. According to Hamilton, if someone tasted the orange juice coming out of these tanks, it would taste like pure sugar water, not orange juice. To make the juice taste much better, orange juice processors add "flavor packs" to the juice. It is consisted of many chemicals which are oils essences derived from orange byproducts.

orange juice is heated, stripped of flavor, stored for up to a year in tanks and then re-flavored before it is packaged and sold to consumers.

When you peel an orange, don't throw away the white part under the skin

Everyone knows that citrus fruits have lots of healthy nutrition's and vitamins like vitamin C. Researchers are discovering new ways which citrus fruits benefit your health. Te knew way to benefit from citrus fruitsbarent inside the fruit itself, however they are mostly found in the peel. This means that if you are not cooking with with the peel, the best method to “get the full antioxidant punch” is to also take a piece of the white parts inside the peel of the fruit.

One of the best flavonoids id naringenin, which occurs can find in citrus fruits and tomato peel. Naringenin and other similar flavanoids can fix damaged DNA, these damages can lead to cancer which this can prevent. Phytonutrient can prevent obesity by simulating the liver and take out the overload of fat. “Naringenin has also restored normal levels of triglyceride and cholesterol levels in animal studies, as well as restoring healthy blood sugar levels.” So since now you know there is medicine in your food, next time think about this when throwing something away, eat the whole thing, and dont throw one piece of medicine.

Opinion:
I think this is really great, I never knew that. Before I used to take of every white piece from the inside of the peel of my orange, but next time I eat a citrus fruit I will think about this. I also choose to write about this because in class we did a lab about vitamin C and oranges and benefits.
